Protect Yourself the Right Way – Legal Aspects of Self Defense Training

Understanding how to defend yourself isn’t just about skill—it’s about knowing the law before, during, and after a critical incident.

This training, taught by Lisa Steele, will walk you through the real-world legal realities of self-defense in Massachusetts, helping you avoid costly mistakes that can happen even when your intentions are right.

We’ll cover:

  • What you can legally carry—and where
  • Firearm storage laws and what happens if your firearm is seen
  • How to properly handle traffic stops and interactions with law enforcement
  • The critical differences between deadly and non-deadly force
  • Your duty to retreat and how perception and reaction time impact decisions
  • What happens after an incident—from the initial 911 call to station interviews
  • How social media, statements, and third parties can affect your case

This is practical, eye-opening information every responsible gun owner and self-defense-minded member should know. The goal is simple: keep you informed, prepared, and protected—both physically and legally.

Don’t miss this important session. Your safety—and your future—may depend on it.
