Try a Rifle Day and Lever Action Shoot 10am- 12pm
Try a Rifle is a free event and is very similar in concept and design as the Try a Gun Night. We anticipate 100 plus members who are in good standing to participate in the Try a Rifle day. This is a Members Only Event and registration is required.

We will also incorporate our Lever Action Shoot at the same time:
Shooters must register by 11 AM. This is open to Club Members Only.
All types of Lever Action rifles are allowed. There will be four categories,
you may shoot in as many as you like.
- Pistol Caliber and 22 LR Rifle Caliber
- Iron Sights Iron Sights
- Optics Optics
Best 5 shots out of 10, within 10 minutes at 50 yards.
Clean and oil your Levers, dust off your cowboy hat and lets have some fun at the range. Shoot in one or more category. Winners get bragging rights.

All rifles for the event will be kept on the pistol side of the outdoor range where members can sign out the rifles. Safety Officers will be needed to coordinate and oversee the shooting lanes as well as for the distribution of ammunition.
What will be needed:
- Safety Officer Volunteers – At least 10
- Members Rifles – Looking for 20+ rifles of all Makes, Models and Period Roles
- Targets – Approximately 100 – 200 Rifle Targets
- Ammunition - .223/.556, .308/.762, 30-06, .357, etc.
